Dec. 25: Jess and Lisa Origliasso of The Veronicas are 26 today.

Jessica Louise Origliasso is an Australian singer-songwriter and lead vocalist in the Australian band The Veronicas. She plays guitar and bass.  Lisa Marie Origliasso is also singer-songwriter and lead vocalist in The Veronicas. She plays synth/keyboard.

Identical twins, Jess is the elder sister, by one minute.

They grew up in Brisbane. They performed small parts on various television shows, including a recurring role in the short-lived 2001 Australian children's series Cybergirl, where she portrayed twin sisters "Emerald" while Lisa played "Sapphire."

They also appeared on the popular Disney Channel series "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody" and on "Neighbours," the Aussie serial drama.

Formed in 1999, The Veronicas are an electropop pop-rock band based in Australia. Contrary to popular belief, the band name in fact did not come from a character in Archie Comics; it came from a line delivered by actress Winona Rider in the movie Heathers.
